GlossyBox

Okay, there's a reason why I subscribed to Glossybox. It's just because of March Mystery Box. Apparently, Harrods collaborated to GlossyBox this month. Meaning the March box will be full of 5 Harrods sample beauty products which I'm really really looking forward to receiving from GlossyBox! But for now, I'm going to tackle their February box.!

BECCA, Beach Tint Watermelon. "This award-winning lip and check stain blends beautifully to a non-drying, water-resistant finish." Full size, 7ml Retail price £20.00? I mean seriously? I couldn't believe the size of it and it's so expensive to purchase. I mean who would buy £20 for this? It had better be good then or else its a complete waste of money! I was totally blown away... I feel so happy to receive it.

DR BRONNER, Lavender Hand Sanitiser. "A lavander scented hand sanitizer in a handy spray size perfect to keep in your handbag." Full size, £3.99 -- I'm really happy to have this one coz I love hand sanitiser but it didn't occur to me to buy one. So, yeah I like this and I love lavender..!

AWAPUHI BY PAUL MITCHELL, Wild Ginger Treatment Oil. "Smooth and seal parched hair with natural oils and the hydrating Awapuhi extract. Absorbs easily imparting a soft, silky texture and rich shine effect." -- Another hair product. My hair is really spoiled with different hair products. They are piling up as well and hardly used it. Saying that, most hair products I have purchased and received from beauty boxes none of them are consistent. Only good for a start but didn't really work as they described the product. The only hair product I'm using now is Macadamia from Joliebox. So far so good. So I hope it will repair my hair eventually. Then the rest I haven't the chance to try it.

The good thing about beauty boxes, you don't have to buy full size from the shop that can cost you a lot of money just to find out when you get home it doesn't work for you. Having companies sending you samples is great for a little money, you get to try out lots of different products. Some full size, some miniatures. So if it doesn't work for you, it hasn't really cost you anything.

Anyway, moving on..

BM BEAUTY, Pure Mineral Eyeshadow. "Award winning pure mineral eyeshadow. Cruelty free and suitable for vegetarians and vegans." -- Not keen on this. That's all I can say. It's a nice colour (wolf howl) but looks cheap..!

COMO SHAMBHALA, Invigorate Shower Gel. "A revitalising blend of essential oils that puts you in a perfectly uplifted mood." -- The smell is really good. I love it! Again, another shower gel. Saved me pennies buying it from a shop.

Okay, that's it guys! I'm done. Phew..! This blog is definitely a brain challenge for me. But sharing this stuff with all of you makes totally worth it! So, yeah.. Catch you next time..! x

Note: GlossyBox packaging is similar to Joliebox but instead of black its pale pink. And its  padded with crinkled black paper which I prefer. Its so girly!

Review: February - Carmine

Fresh. Fun. Colour.
Get ready to celebrate the first few blossoms of spring! We've lined up a delicious selection of products to remind you what this season is all about. -- Carmine

---------

The best beauty box ever! Joliebox & Glossybox are nothing to compared to Carmine. Looking at their samples this month is like Ohh my gahh..!

First thing that really caught my eye is this STEAMCREAM, Steam-influenced skincare, all-in-one moisturiser. This is full size and £10.50 for retail price, Boots. They sell this cream in different tin designs. I'm not an animal stuff fanatic but to be fair I love this leopard one. It's cute and I love it!

The second one is BALANCE ME - Rose Otto or Super Moisturising Body Wash. --- And again another full size product. How cool is that?! My body washes are piling up meaning I don't have to buy one from the shop. Because I have another supply for this month which is pretty good. I'm actually using their full size Weleda Body Wash at the moment that they sent me last month which is pretty amazing by the way. So, I'm really chuffed about this product. Retail price, £8.00

Moving on.. ANDREA FULERTON, Nail Varnish -- Developed by celebrity nail technician, Andrea Fulerton, itself. I got the colour Joanna. Full size. Retail price £4.99. I haven't tried this one yet but certainly gonna try it one of these days.

Now, this is really interesting coz there's a toothpaste in Carmine box. White Glo in sample size. It says "Get ready to brush your way to a sexy smile, a'la Jessica Alba." -- Sweet! Definitely gonna try this not because I want Jessica Alba's smile but Hollywood smile! Haha..

Lastly, IL ROSSETTO THE LIPSTICK, DIEGO DALLA PALMA "From one of Italy's top brands, this sophisticated, intense pigment lipstick provides the perfect touch of long lasting colour. Chic and en vogue, it's all you need for La Dolce vita. -- This is similar to Joliebox sample. I've got the #47 shade which I believe is red. So, yeah another tiny cute lipstick and I like it!

Bonus: YARDLEY LONDON, PEONY FRAGRANCE. -- I'm so happy to have a perfume sample in Carmine February Box. But when I smelt it, it's not really my type. The smell is similar to Poison Perfume which I really hate it! I don't know.. there's something about Poison's smell that really puts me off and this Peony fragrance remind me of it. "I'm sorry Carmine.. but how thoughtful you are giving us another bonus sample which I'm really really please with. But it's just not my type of smell at all. Even then I still love you Carmine. And overall your February box is truly amazing!! 10 out of 10."!

Review: February Joliebox

For people who haven't heard of Joliebox.. basically it's just one of another beauty boxes like Glossybox & Carmine. You'll pay £10 per month plus p&p. The only difference about Joliebox is based in Paris and they opened a new branch here in the UK. Originally this beauty box called Boudoir Prive and apparently married to Joliebox and decided to called it Joliebox itself instead.

Anyway, here's my first Joliebox! To be honest I kinda love this beauty box for some reason although the sample beauty products didn't WoW me big time as Carmine. There is something about this company that makes me subscribe that's why I called it my guilty pleasure! I'll just pretend I bought some sweeties to treat myself once a month! Ha.

Oh by the way, the box is smaller compare to Carmine. It's easy to open unlike Carmine you have to hurt yourself first before you can actually open it which is tricky coz it makes you excited! And the box has a beautiful finish unlike Joliebox is pretty simple; although there's a little cute bag inside consist of beauty samples! Boudoir Prive is used to be pink box and padded with crinkled strips of black paper but because of Joliebox arrival they changed it.

Anyway.. enough babbling, let's jump into Joliebox sample products!

Makeup Brush - I'm not really amaze with this brush because I love my Eco Tool concealer brush. However, it's lovely to have a Joliebox keepsake. All subscribers has received this brush last December. And for some reason Joliebox has a special treat for all new members who subscribed after December box which is Joliebox Concealer Brush in February box. Pretty thoughtful of them because I'm a new subscriber. So, I'm quite happy to have this.!

MACADAMIA, Deep Repair Masque - This ultra-conditioning hair masque will rebuild damaged hair for improved shine and elasticity.. I tried this as soon as I received it. But unfortunately I haven't continue it because of lack of time so I can't tell you the result yet. According to instruction you have to apply it twice a week and I only used it once.

LAVERA, Basis Sensitive Organic Hand Cream -  An organic hand cream with shea butter and almond extracts.. Another supply of hand cream, great! I'm not totally keen on this but as much as I love hand cream I will use this as soon as my E45 hand cream finished.

RMK Cleansing Oil -  A cleansing facial oil with a refreshing scent of mint and Damascus Rose.. Sooo not really looking forward to try this at all. Saying that, I really have sensitive skin and I'm really happy with my skin products that I'm using right now. So yeah. And aside from that, this sample size is totally let down for me! I can probably get this from the beauty counter? Oh well, it's better than nothing!

JANE IREDALE, Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain in Forever Pink - An all natural, multi-purpose stain that adjusts its colour to your mood and temperature.. Sounds interesting! The sample size is so tiny, its pretty cute and I like the colour too! Love this one.

Last but not least! TAAJ, Himalaya Micellar Water - An antioxidant and tonic make-up remover that will revitalise and purify skin..What I love about this product is very natural. It's like real water and can totally remove your makeup esp. with stubborn mascara! I will definitely purchase this in the future. I'm so loving it. And this one is originally made from India.

I think that's it guys! Thanks for taking the time to read this blog and I hope this will help anyone whose thinking to subscribe to Joliebox! Ttfn.
